Hi! My names Clara, and I’ve never met anyone else with the same name as me. I never knew there were nicknames for my name since it’s so short… but Larrie is pretty cool. I was named after a lake in Portugal. The lake was given the name Clara because the water is crystal clear, as the word Clara in Portuguese means ‘clear’, ‘bright’ and ‘light’.

I myself go by Larrie. Clara is a beautiful, classic name, and don’t be afraid to use it. Clara (as a name) peaked in about 1830, but the name is still very beautiful today. I have never met any other Clara’s in my life, so it would be nice if there were a bit more Clara’s. But not as many as ‘Sophia’ or ‘Matthew’. All I’m trying to say is, if you are expecting, please consider the name Clara. You won’t be disappointed at all the name has to offer!
